Keeping your family entertained, stimulated and active is often challenging, but there are many different opportunities available in your local area and throughout Shetland.

Bookbug has replaced Bookstart as the gifting programme for the under 4s. Shetland Library, in partnership with NHS Shetland, provides 3 stages of packs to encourage a love of books and reading. Packs 1 and 2 can be collected from your Health Visitor at 7 week and 18 month checks, or from the Library. Pack 3 is available from the Library for every 3 year old.

Maddrim Media

We are Maddrim Media, a production company from Shetland comprised entirely of teenagers. No two films are ever the same as each member of the group has their own style which, despite leading to the odd artistic difference, ensures that we keep on our toes and manage to give each film it’s own unique visual sheen. Whatever your taste, we hope that sometime we can cater for you. Meet on Mondays in Islesburgh 7-9pm
